NDIGBO - STAND BY KANU OR STAND ASIDE

What has become of Ndigbo Bekonu?

You cannot post anything whether advisory, strategic, realistic or self-effacing or recriminatory about Ndigbo attitudes or issues without Ndigbo attempting to crucify for sabotage against Ndigbo, it doesn’t matter whether you are an Amala or a politician or an academic or diasporan if you go against the unwritten and inflexible philosophical narrative code you will be torn to shreds, literally.  

All Ndigbo, can read or hear anything and instinctively know whether you are speaking like an Igbo man on any issue most especially about politics and economic policy.

There is no Igbo man in his hearts of hearts who is Not aggrieved about the state of Nigeria and most particularly the instinctive feeling of exclusion and marginalization and victimization of the Igbo race, it permeates every single narrative we engage in and it drives our motives no matter how politically correct we try to pretend.

All that searing pent up resentment has been finding an outlet for expression over the years through a laundry list of organizations like MASSOB, BZM etc. until the arrival of Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB.

Suddenly, no doubt aided by social media, Ndigbo now have a voice to decry the years of systemic lies, discrimination and structural marginalization of the east that is the subject of any Igbo discussion in one Nigeria.

The reality is that despite, no victor or vanquished, the Northern controlled government, has engaged in the systemic strangulation of the Igbo economy from the systemic neglect of its ports to airports to rail to roads and targeting its business men leaving Ndigbo feeling constantly under a state of siege.

This is besides the political marginalization, first through an evil split of Igbo people and populations in no less than five states to whittle their voting bloc power and an active campaign of calumny to deny Ndigbo their rightful place at the seat of power. 

I ask again what is wrong with Ndigbo?

No wonder Kanu has dedicated a substantial part of his broadcasts to lambasting Ndigbo from the politicians to its intelligentsia to the proletariat.

Ndigbo all agree and intrinsically understand what it means to be anti-Igbo yet you cannot agree on any single policy or political direction.

Mention Igbo presidency come 2023, Ndigbo ga gwa gi, we are not interested in the Nigerian presidency we don’t want it, we are not interested in Nigeria yet we feel a keen sense of outrage that Arewa and Oduduwa are colluding in a power sharing arrangement.

In fact, we want Biafra, but we don’t like IPOB, we don’t like the way Nnamdi kanu is going about it, I am not for one Nigeria but I don’t want Biafra, or I want it, but but but….!

Our leaders must speak up, yet every single Igbo political leader has been virtually destroyed or tagged a saboteur, from Rochas to Kalu to ekweremadu etc. they have all been roundly condemned for engaging in the politics with the hated Janjaweed to progress your interests in one Nigeria.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has so far been the most consistent voice of Igbo conservatism in our modern history and he unabashedly tells Ndigbo story.

Many Nigerians believe Nigeria is salvageable, but the reality is that a growing majority of Nigerians now believe nothing is working, and we must go our separate ways due to a basic core of Unreconcilable ideological differences.

Calls for referendum have been ignored, calls for restructuring have been ignored, justice denied, marginalization and economic strangulation still sustains so what are Ndigbo people really waiting for.

Kanu and many Ndigbo have evolved past those base considerations and now want to go their separate ways, and Kanu has already declared he will destroy Nigeria with truth and Nigeria will be worse than Somalia for years so what is new about him now pouring fire on Nigeria’s endsars, absolutely nothing.

It was not Kanu that instituted pogroms against Ndigbo, it was not Kanu that initiated a pogromotic war, it was not Kanu who destroyed Ndigbo businesses, it is not Kanu who is responsible for the horrendous state of our economic roads, it is not Kanu that has manipulated Ndigbo out of power, it was not Kanu that elected Buhari, it was not Kanu who started endsars, it was not Kanu that sent tribal elements to burn cars in Abuja it was not Kanu who ordered the Lekki killings, it is not Kanu ordering Nigerians including northerners to raid covid palliatives.

On the political front it is not Kanu that created Miyetti Allah or the onslaught of Fulani herdsmen raping and pillaging in Biafra land, it is not Kanu who is forcing RUGA and the water bills on Nigerians to resettle foreign Fulani on indigenous land.

Kanu is also not responsible for the gross mismanagement and poor governance that has reduced Nigeria to the poverty capital of the world with Nigerians of every stripe wanting out of this contraption. 

Kanu is not responsible for the neglect of Igboland that has driven almost all Ndigbo to foreign shores.

He is just a reactionary and a very vocal reactionary screaming for justice and expressing the rage driving Ndigbo to mob any anti Igbo sentiment on social media.

Kanu will never stop screaming about injustice against Ndigbo responsible for its current pecuniary state in Nigeria today, nor should he, nor can anyone shackle the dreams of Biafra where institutional crimes against Ndigbo amounting to genocidal sabotage cannot go unpunished.

If not for one Nigeria would Ndigbo really be in this state of strangulation when we even had 24 hour turn around maintenance for Uli and Uga airports in Biafra and where we distilled crude oil without useless comatose present-day refineries.

It is time for Ndigbo to speak with one voice and stop allowing current events to detract from our rage, stop prevaricating or acting politically correct., you are dissatisfied with one Nigeria and endsars will graduate with or without Kanu pouring his fuel on the fire and he will continue as you stand aside seething as you are being choked to ruin. 

If you cannot openly support Kanu, and are too fearful to express yourself and even if you don’t want Biafra and believe in one Nigeria and if you are a Nigger Delta person against Biafra, but still crying for resource control and lamenting your devastated environment;

Please shut up, stand down, stand back and stand aside and let Kanu continue his work, it is the very least you can do.
