Nnamdi Kanu - The Man at the Center of the Storm

When people tell you who they are believe them. Many Nigerians believe there is still hope for one Nigeria, others believe restructuring will fix Nigeria, but there is a new radical core of Nigerians who believe Nigeria is irredeemable, and Nnamdi Kanu is the leader of that rabid movement. “Break it up” He has been telling anyone who cares to listen that he will destroy Nigeria with truth and his Radio Biafra is where he worships and celebrates the messianic coming of Biafra. Every broadcast he makes is designed to light the fire in the hearts of men and to make Nigeria ungovernable and as a precursor to dismemberment and restoration of Biafra. The sudden eruption of endSARS to him is vindication that his message has percolated to the brain of the youth who have revolted against police brutality including many other tagged on issues, including restructuring. The current protests have mainstream one Nigeria appeal and almost everyone viewed these youth protests positively and many where awed by the discipline of the youth and he played along like all Nigerians hoping for the protests to extend. For Nigerians the hope was that the protests would lead to a major pain filled concession by the President to youth demands. But the government exacerbated the situation by allegedly hiring thugs and Ethnic demonstrators to challenge the youth movement and the soldiers fired on peaceful youth to carry the protests to the undesired next level to the delight of Nnamdi Kanu. What then do you want Nnamdi Kanu to do as he did not order the soldiers to shoot the youth just like he did not order SARS to brutalize Nigerians in the past. The security forces overplayed their hand with brutality, Nigerians reacted violently providing Nnamdi Kanu an opportunity to dismember Nigeria through civil lead insurrection. There are no sacred cows in his fight to restore Biafra or to dismember Nigeria and hot with anger from the death of his parents and men and the current Youth deaths all at the hands of the same Nigerian army and police, he has gone into revolutionary mode urging and invoking and stigmatizing any and every leader, both Yoruba and Igbo, calling for their heads and every any other action to inspire a revolution, can you blame him? For years he has condemned the Janjaweed and decried his perception of their agenda, he has also berated Yoruba leaders like Tinubu who all Nigerians blame for packaging Buhari in 2015 and the Yoruba media.

But if you want to use that to proclaim him biased beyond repair, please find out what he has said about Igbo leaders and governors and senators excluding Abaribe, he has virtually demonized them and almost ruined the ambitions of several of them with his saboteur tag. If you think that is all you will discover that his worst vituperations, besides his favorite Janjaweed targets, are Ohanaeze, who he has ridiculed to the point of calling for physical shakedowns. No one should combine his activities or use them to summarize Igbo hatred for anybody as he has already told you his intent “the Zoo must fall” and no amount of intimidation will stop him from actualizing Biafra. Fortunately for him, his motives have found some affinity with the mass of Nigerians demonstrating and rioting and destroying government buildings throughout the country along with the unwavering will of Nigerians to continue with the protests until the gates of heavenly good governance opens, for Kanu he sees it leading to a catastrophic series of events leading to Biafra. When people say who they are and what they are about believe them and stop trying to douse their statements or condemn their actions with political correctness to whitewash their convictions, he is who he is, a Biafran advocate and strident successionist.
